Testimony of Mrs NV

I had my first child (son) 8th May 1996. Just before he turned 1, we started trying for another baby, thinking within a few months it will happen. Nothing happened until March 2007 when i had my daughter.

Initially I felt left out, especially when friends, colleagues & family members were having their 2nd, 3rd & 4th child. What I kept saying inside was why can't these people wait for me! My emotions & feelings were erratic. I remember one day in the middle of the night, waking up accusing my husband for the situation & went out drove off to a place under a tree.

I remember when I was going in for operation every year. It was in the 3rd year that Idecided not to go in for anymore operations & to wait on God. Especially since a consultant said that it is most unlikely for me be to conceive because of the way my womb was scarred & attached to my bowels. They said it was endometriosis. I was invited to come for IVF but I opted to wait for God’s IVF that will never fail.

What kept me going were the people God sent to me at different times to encourage me. I also got deeper in the word with the help of bible school, the healing school, my pastors & other sisters who stood with me in prayer. There were various promises I held on to & kept confessing. The one that stood out &, still stands out for me, is Luke 1:37 "for with God nothing shall be impossible." Another word that I held on to was given at the Festival of Life was that God was reducing my biological years by 10 years. I turned 40 in 2006. 

One of my prayer points is that God to show Himself strong on my behalf to confound the Doctors. I got to a stage when I declared that whether it happens or not, God will always be God, my God.  I became more sensitive to other peoples need around me & out of my pain I will reach out. This made me more fulfilling. After a while my prayer changed to thanksgiving. Most morning I will stand in front of the mirror, anointing my tummy & thanking & praising God.

My son & I started buying things for his baby sister when he was 2 years, (baby sister came when he was 11 years). 2 months after I bought a sterilizing unit I found out I was pregnant.

In the waiting room at various times was prompted by the Holy Spirit regarding various issues- eating habit, attitude towards my husband, my son & my late dad's family that we had no contact with for 10 years. Introduced fruits & vegetables into my diet, started drinking at least 2L of water daily, swimming & jogging. Read books to help me be a better wife & mother.

In 2006 when my siblings & I went to Nigeria for thanksgiving memorial service for my late dad we reconciled with my dad's family. This in itself was a miracle. In this same year 2006, one of my younger sisters, who has had 3 miscarriages, gave birth to her son, I also conceived. The power of forgiveness!! On the day of his (my nephew’s) naming, a sister called me that she had a dream that I had a baby girl with lots of hair. My husband’s remark when we found out I was pregnant, “what we have been waiting for, for 10 years just happened like that.” So will it just happen to my sisters & brothers who are waiting out there in Jesus' name. Amen. 

During my pregnancy all I was confessing, in the face of negative reports & remarks from the health professionals, was, “He that has begun a new & good work in me is faithful to bring to perfect completion – Philippians 1:6. To The King Eternal, immortal, invisible, Who alone is wise be glory & honor, I gave birth to my daughter, on the 7th March 2007 at Lewisham Hospital.

When I visited NV after the delivery of her baby, she reminded me of a word of prophesy that was given to her by "Joyful Mothers Ministries about seven years before conception that the Lord will give her a baby girl and that the Lord said to give her an earring for the baby". God honoured His word in the life of NV and He will honour His word in your life because He is not a respecter of persons.
