Adopt your neighbourhood through prayer walk

Daily Prayer points for adopting the neighbourhood. Make a greater impact, invite your friends along for a prayer walk in your neighbourhood. 

Day 1 

Bible Verse: Nehemiah 2:11-20

  • Take a spiritual view of your community and evaluate issues that children and youths experience in our society. How are the children/youths in your community affected?
  • Ask the Holy Spirit to open your eyes to what He wants you to see in your locality and begin to address them

Day 2 

Bible Verse: Ephesians 6: 10-18

  • Pray against the principalities assault against children and youth in your community as God may have revealed to you
  • Declare they will no longer have any authority over the children and youths in your neighbourhood
  • Uproot every evil in the hearts of every child/youth in your neighbourhood

 

Day 3 

Isaiah 60: 18-22; Ezekiel 45:9

  • Declare that violence shall no longer be heard in our country according to His word

Day 4 

 Bible Verse: Isaiah 62: 1-7

  • As I connect with other women to pray for children and youth, this is in line with God’s word;  I pray that the children in my community are the joy of the Lord.
  • My land/neighbourhood shall no longer be crushed; 
  • My neighbourhood is glory in the earth.

Day 5 

Bible Verse: Ephesians 6: 1-4

  • Pray for families in your area including yours for God to have His way in families again.
  • Pray that homes will be dedicated to establish and keep God’s standard
  • Declare that children and youths will obey and cherish their parents
  • Fathers will return to their families and not provoke their children
  • Mothers will take their rightful place and live godly lives.

Day 6 

Bible Verse Joel 2: 15-17

  • The Lord has put His word in your mouth; He says, “let them say ‘spare your people”. Make a statement on your community and say, ‘Lord, release the families, spare the youths, spare the children etc.

 Day 7

Bible Verse: 2 Chronicles 20:30

  • My neighbourhood shall be quiet from every form of oppression.
  • God gives rest to my neighbourhood all around
  • Mention the name of your neighbourhood

Release the children and youths into God’s hands, when we release them, we have greater peace
